The Noyes OFS 300 from AFL Telecommunications is a versatile

Optical Fiber Scope with precision 200X magnication. This handheld

and rugged scope is used for inspection of optical ber connectors

for scratches, dirt, or other problems normally associated with poor

transmission performance.

A built-in laser safety lter provides > 40 dB IR protection to reduce risk

of injury to the eye if accidentally viewing an active ber. The OFS 300

features a universal adapter cap mount that accepts a variety of Noyes

thread-on style adapter caps (ordered separately) to ease inspection

of many connector style. A momentary power switch located on the top

panel keeps one hand free for focusing.

100-200x Inspection Scopes

Leviton’s inspections scopes allow techs

to view multimode and singlemode

end-face polished safely and reduce

change of over polishing (a side effect of

many coaxial inspection scopes). The 200X

scope features oblique viewing technology,

ergonomic grip, 200X magnication and full laser

eye protections through wavelength of 850-1550

nanometer.

Optical Fiber Inspection Scope

The OFS 300 offers 60 hours of continuous

battery life from standard 2 x AA batteries

and features an LED indicator, which will

ash when batteries require replacement.

The standard thread-on adapter caps are used to mate non-angled

and angled single-ber and dual-ber connectors to optical power

meter ports on OPM power meters and OFS inspection scopes.
